Renowned street art duo have SNIK have returned to Manchester to create a standout mural in the city. Called ‘Still Life’ it is located in the creative Northern Quarter. A piece that invites passers by to pause. Take a moment to breathe. To enjoy a moment amongst the hustle of the city.

SNIK Mural in Manchester
Standing at 20 metres high it is a striking mural. SNIK are known for their enormous works. Using multiple layers of intricately cut stencils, they build up to create the image. It’s a process that goes well beyond the actual painting of the wall. The stencils themselves can take months to cut and prepare.

Urban Landscape
“We wanted to create something that enhances the urban landscape” said SNIK. “But also encourages people to step back and appreciate the little things”. It’s a mural which encourages the viewer to step back and to contemplate. To take a moment whilst the world goes on.

Northern Quarter
Famed for its independent shops and creative studios. Manchester’s Northern Quarter is the creative hub of the city. Situated on the Northern Quarter car park on the corner of Tib Street. It covers the lift shaft connecting the floors of the building.

Still Life and Serenity
The mural in Manchester joins another popular piece from SNIK. Created in 2018, that work featured a woman floating in a red dress. Called ‘Serenity’ it captured the imagination and is still a much loved work of art. “We are thrilled to return to Manchester” they said. “It’s a city that’s always welcomed our work with open arms”.


‘Still Life’ is a mural by SNIK in Manchester. It is situated on the side of the Norther Quarter car park on Tib Street. It was painted during August 2024 and is the second large scale mural by the artists in the city. To learn more about SNIK take a look at their website and instagram.
