Land Art Mural from Gerada Promotes Accessibility in Villablino

Renowned international artist Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada has created a huge land art mural in Villablino in Spain. It features an athlete in a wheelchair with the image painted onto the ground itself.

Caminos Naturales

The piece has been created for Caminos Naturales with the support of Villablino City Council. The image stands out not only for its monumental nature but for the powerful message it gives. It’s a commentary on the importance of accessibility for people with disabilities. Something that is especially important in the countryside.

Opening Horizons

Called ‘Opening Horizons’ it’s a work that can really only be truly appreciated from the sky such is its scale. The mural was unveiled to coincide with the 14th stage of La Vuelta. The cycle race takes place between Villafrance del Bierzo and Villablino.
