Seaside Sundae Giant Mural Celebrates Cleethorpes

Seaside Sundae is a giant mural created by street artist Woskerski in Cleethorpes. Featuring a fantastical scene of two huge ice-creams stuck into the beach. It’s a summers day at the seaside but with the artists completely unique twist added to it.

Twists of Fantasy

Based in London, Woskerski is known for the twists of fantasy in his work. Often giving scenes a unique perspective. It’s something he’s done on a significant scale on the side of the Old Vic Pub in Cleethorpes.

It’s the two giant ice-creams stuck in the sand that dominates the mural. Sitting there amidst a beautiful day with bright blue sky, a few clouds and the turquoise sea. Seagulls fly overhead with people walking along the beach. All whilst the sauce slowly melts to form drips coming down the cone.

The mural has been created as part of the ‘Paint the Town Proud‘ project. A collaboration with a number of artists, organisations and commercial partners in the area. Creating artworks across several locations across the Grimsby and Cleethorpes area in North East Lincolnshire.

So far the mural is the sixth to have been created as part of the project. Hoping that the latest work will not only draw a lot of positive attention but also be a tourist landmark in itself. Speaking about the project Paint the Town Proud said that it could also ‘act as a beacon of inspiration for creatives both across the area and on a national level’.
