A paint jam organised by the Art House Project London took place at the Allen Gardens ‘Hall of Fame’ in Shoreditch over the last weekend of July. In total around 18 artists took part with plenty of music and paint. It was the first major street art paint jam to happen in Shoreditch since the lockdown.
Allen Gardens as an area has become a key location for street art and graffiti. Since the Nomadic Gardens closed just next door, it’s become a vital non-curated spot. Walls extend along the railway track on both sides and give plenty of space on which to paint. As a ‘hall of fame’ it means the walls change frequently so paint jams are more about having fun then having anything that would last.

Lots of local artists to the area took part. it was very much a mixture of more traditional street artists and those who are experimenting from other disciplines. The Art House Project itself is about bringing artists together and providing a supportive space. Paint jams are perfect environments to do that in. You end up meeting plenty of different people and learning new things.
The gallery below shows all the work created in the Allen Gardens as part of the Art House Project jam. It total 18 artists took part in an event which showed that street art in Shoreditch is back after lockdown.
