The first ever London Mural Festival will take place across London in September 2020. Setting out to turn the city into a giant canvas. A minimum of 20 large scale murals will be created around the city.
Marking the announcement a new mural has been created in Canning Town. From Gary Stranger, his typographic piece is entitled ‘From the Ground Up’. It’s a nod to the ethos that the curators are hoping to create.
“I’m excited for the London Mural Festival” says Stranger. “Now London can take its rightful place on the stage of global mural festivals. This is the first wall of many. I’m hoping to see pop-up across the city ahead of the London Mural Festival in September 2020.”
