Street Artists once again got together over the weekend to pay tribute to popular artist Ben Naz at one of his favoured locations, the Leake Street tunnel.
Occupying one end of the popular legal graffiti spot, tributes were painted to remember Naz who died from Cancer the year before. Many of the artists on show were part of SSOSVA, the guerilla grouping otherwise known as the Secret Society of Super Villain Artists of which Naz was a part.

Graffiti Tribute to Ben Naz
Last year another event in the same place paid tribute to Naz and the year before, the F**K You Cancer event took place in the midst of the artists battle with the disease. It’s been a running theme of artists doing what they can to raise awareness.
Naz’s motto was to ‘Live life without regrets’ and it was on the tongues of many inside the tunnel, also finding its way onto the walls as part of a number of the pieces. We went along towards the end of the day and got some snaps which are below. Our friends at London Calling also captured a lot of the day and their post can be found here.
We missed the end of the day, when the sun went down and the tunnel became dark. The artists held a candlelit vigil for their friend as they lit up the tunnel with flickering candlelight. A moving tribute to a popular man who died too young.
The paint jam paying tribute to Ben Naz took place in the Leake Street Tunnel on Saturday 24 October 2015.
