It can’t be denied, this guy is getting everywhere at the moment and it’s not even as if he chooses easy to reach locations.
Dutch street artist Christiaan Nagel has managed to infiltrate his mushrooms all over the East End of London as well as in many cities across the continent. Usually his modus operandi includes getting high up in a building and planting a giant luminous mushroom in the most inaccessible place he can.
I’m my opinion his most impressive location though is not on a building but in a river. On an old timber pillar sticking out of the River Thames, entirely surrounded by water at high tide and with one of the best views possible of the city of London, sits his best yet, a luminous yellow mushroom sure to confuse tourists and locals alike.
This latest offering can be best seen from the south bank of the Thames from Butlers Wharf, there are also good views from Tower Bridge itself.
