The 2024 edition of the Concrete Canvas festival has seen more murals painted across Chelmsford. A number of locations have added to the pieces created the year before.
Artists this year included Woskerski and Peachzz. Both painting large scale murals on the Chelmsford Market. They have added to the stand out work from My Dog Sighs in the same location during 2023. Other artists with permanent pieces include SNUB, Sprite, Sky High, Ed Hicks, Elno, Vane MG, Tash Creates, Roo, Tris and Shauna Blanchfield.

Live Painting
As in the previous year, the weekend saw a community ‘paint jam’ in the town centre. Stalls featuring work from local artists were joined with artists live painting on boards. Apparan, Eyesaw and Brave Arts being some of the artists on show. Other artworks created included a number of pieces on electricity boxes around Chelmsford.

Permanent Murals
Key painting took place on walls around the Chelmsford Market building. The area around Tindall Street the Stone Bridge and Backnang Square being other locations where a lot of the painting was taking place.
Chelmsford Market Building
The large concrete structure of the Chelmsford Market Building was one of the set piece locations of Concrete Canvas 2024. Huge murals from Woskerski and Peachzz were the standouts. However smaller eye catching works from the WOM Collective on the Bellmead side of the building also attracted a lot of attention.

WOM Collective Walls on Bellmead
The WOM Collective are a group of female artists who paint together across a number of various projects. Often as a large group and more frequently as smaller groups of artists painting together. For Concrete Canvas in 2024 Elno, Roo, Tash Creates, Shauna Blanchfield and Vane MG were part of the artists from the collective taking part.
