Trendy street art hangout Monty’s Bar is re-launching it’s popular ‘Soapbox Sunday‘ arts market this Easter on Sunday 5 April.
Situated at the top end of Brick Lane and nestled amongst art galleries, trendy coffee and cereal shops, Monty’s has gained a reputation over the years as being a place for artists to show their work and for art lovers to relax. Recent shows have included live painting from artists such as Fio Silva and Stephanie Thieu as well as solo exhibitions from popular muralist Artista, Annatomix and Pauli Bates which were just a few highlights from a packed program of events during 2014.

Now the bars art market will be launching in the same venue and from 12-6pm on Sunday some of the areas top street artists will be selling their wares and if that’s not all Roberta Pia will be entertaining with live music. It’s the sort of thing to be expected from this lively part of the city and will be a welcome compliment to the already existing and vibrant Brick Lane Sunday market so if you’re looking for something to do this weekend, Monty’s is somewhere you should be checking out.
Soapbox Sundays art market will take place at Monty’s Bar on Brick Lane from Sunday 5 April 2015 and is a free event. Ongoing, the plan will be to host the market every two weeks meaning that affordable art direct from the artists themselves will be able to be bought from the very heart of London’s street art scene.
