RUN in Clapton

It would appear that Italian street artist RUN has been busy lately, so inspired by a recent article on HookedBlog I decided to go and seek out a few examples of his work.  I knew that Clapton was a bit of a hotbed for the artist and I’d never previously visited the area so it had the double benefit of allowing me to explore somewhere new and of seeing the work of one of the most recognisable artists on the London scene.

I found a number of pieces, several in the Clapton Passage, one on Linscott Road and the piece I’d really come to see on Downs Road.  I’d walked from Bethnal Green, up the Cambridge Heath Road, past Hackney Road, across London Fields and through Hackney before I finally arrived in Clapton.  It was a journey in which I saw street art at every turn, pieces that I had seen on the internet but not in person and other art that I hadn’t known was there at all.  This was indeed a rich area for expression, it felt vibrant and I will be back.  But for now here are a sampling of RUN’s work live from Clapton.
