Another cultural addition to London’s art scene can be seen in the ambitious launch of the online global art magazine Mongoos.
Operating out of the Tempus Gallery on Brick Lane, the magazine invites contributions from contributors and covers everything from street art to the Turner Prize. So far since it’s recent inception it claims to have received over 900 individual contributions representing a whole range of topics.
Speaking about the name of the magazine, Aleksandra Smilek gave the analogy of a mongoose in battle as being tenacious and brave “as we will have to be in launching a global arts magazine”. These are ambitious aims with the ultimate goal of becoming one of the most visited online arts magazines on the planet.
The magazine is worth a read and can be found at www.mongoosmagazine.com. Good luck to what is another exciting addition to London’s Art Scene.
