The Art of the Kingsland Road

The Kingsland Road is a section of the A10 which runs between Dalston and Hoxton in the East End of London. North of Dalston Kingsland station the road heads towards Stoke Newington and becomes the Stoke Newington Road leading eventually all the way up to Kings Lynn. South of Hoxton station the road meets Shoreditch and becomes the Shoreditch High Street leading right into the heart of the city of London. The road follows the route taken by the ancient Roman Road, Ermine Street.

Art wise the area of the Kingsland Road is a vibrant one, particularly around the overground stations of Dalston Junction, Haggerston and Hoxton. In little nooks and crannys along the route of the street all sorts can be seen.

So this tour covers the length of the road and captures some of the best art along the length of the Kingsland Road. Hope you enjoy the pictures starting from Belgrade Road in the north to the border with Shoreditch High Street in the south.
