Ben Eine’s work is instantly recognisable and can be seen all over East London. His letters gracing walls and shutters on many a street.
His favourite location however must be the area around Middlesex street and Petticoat lane market. Come closing time when the shutters are down his work is everywhere. Most dramatic however is a huge alphabet mural on the side of a building on Middlesex street.
Look closely and you’ll be able to see it from the safety of your own home at the front of the latest advert from mens online clothes retailer Jacamo starring cricketing legend Freddie Flintoff. in the advert he gets out of a car and walks past the mural whilst wearing the latest cool garb that Jacamo think people will buy.
The advert itself is truly awful and can be found here. It’s worth watching though just for the brief glimpse of this incredible piece.
